Cuban Missile Crisis in a nutshell.
According to J Edgar Hoover, Jack allegedly had an affair with a Nazi woman during World War II. This piece of information was one of the reasons the Kennedy administration took so long to jump into the civil rights movement in the south.
Women were known to break down the barriers during his speeches, because they adored him so much, to try to get at him during his campaign.
It’s evident even here how Jack’s so comfortable in the chair and on TV, and Nixon’s just cold and mechanic and overthinking it.
Part of the reason Kennedy won his election was because he had the courage to talk about the missile gap and the Cuban invasion.
What is interesting about this is, of course, a) there was no missile gap and b) Nixon could not say anything about the Cuban invasion because he knew state secrets, so had he spoken, he would have likely revealed too much.
